Jean-Baptiste Duvernoy (born in 1802 – died in 1880)

Jean-Baptiste Duvernoy  (born in 1802 – died in 1880) was a French pianist, composer of the Romantic period, and professor of piano at the Conservatoire de Paris. He is the author of more than 300 works. Not much is known about his life. Jean-Baptiste Duvernoy was born in 1802. His Elementary Studies, opus 176, is considered one of the best known among his 300 works. Elementary Studies were written for beginner’s lessons on the piano, which help finger co-ordination. Duvernoy is also known for The School of Mechanism, opus 120.
