Serenade
A serenade is an instrumental composition in several movements, written for a small ensemble. It combines characteristics of the suite and the sonata, often featuring lyrical or chamber-like qualities. In classical tradition, a serenade may include dance-like episodes, contrasting tempos, and transparent textures, while maintaining a coherent dramatic arc.
